Corruption has been the hallmark of BSP government: Rahul Gandhi

Attacking BSP chief Mayawati for ignoring the problems of aam admi, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi urged the people to support Congress to bring back the state of Uttar Pradesh on the track of progress. Rahul Gandhi also blamed Mayawati for disregarding the aspirations of common man. “Mayawati does not like to meet common people and corruption has been the hallmark of her government”, said Rahul Gandhi while addressing a public meeting in Lucknow as part of his Congress campaign in the state.

The speed with which the country is moving ahead, Uttar Pradesh is slipping back at the same rate, said the young Congress MP from Amethi. “You please visit the Congress-ruled states to see the changes taking place in the lives of people due to development,” said Rahul Gandhi. The Congress leader also said that BJP had ruled the state but did nothing for the people, SP also was in power thrice under Mulayam Singh Yadav and unleashed goonda raj.

“Mayawati has been CM four times but she only fulfilled her greed for money and did nothing for development of the state” said Rahul Gandhi. Highlighting that she and other non-Congress parties have been fooling the people and wasted 22 years of UP, Rahul Gandhi told the people to vote for a change this time and assured that a Congress government will work for development of the state.
