Rahul Gandhi: Congress is secular and will work for the entire people without any discrimination

Launching a blistering attack on caste based politics of the non-Congress parties like BSP, SP and BJP, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said that people are now fed up with the identity politics. Casteist politics is inherently incapable of taking all the people together because it looks to serve only the interest of particular group of persons, said the young Congress MP from Amethi.

As such interests of only certain groups have been the concern of BJP, SP and BSP in the last 22 years, said Rahul Gandhi. Congress (I) believes in inclusive development which takes into account all the section of the people, said Rahul Gandhi adding that a comprehensive development cannot take place unless it is targeted at the people rather than on groups.

These non-Congress parties have had no vision, no agenda for the people of the state, said Rahul Gandhi. As such development of the state has languished, said the Congress leader. None of the governments of these parties solved the issues of the people. BJP only talked about religion while Mulayam Singh Yadav’s SP indulged in corruption. But BSP government of Mayawati turned out to be the worst, argued the Congress leader. Rahul Gandhi assured the people that Congress (I) being a secular party will work for people without any discrimination.
