Congress (I) President and UPA Chairperson has lashed out at BJP for merely raising slogans and creating ‘hue and cry’ about corruption without doing anything to root it out. BJP was in power from 1998 to 2004. But during those six years it did not take any steps whatsoever to stop corruption from public life. Rather those six years of BJP rule were marked by scandals and scams. In fact BJP has never been serious about corruption just as BSP under Mayawati is about corruption in Uttar Pradesh. Incidentally it may be mentioned that BJP was once a sisterly party with bahanji Mayawati’s BSP. It is another matter that the two soon fell out over sharing of booty of corruption in the state. Although both BJP and Mayawati’s BSP are now not on good terms with each other, their objective still remain same – to manipulate power and indulging in corruption. Congress (I) people will not let this happen and will out Mayawati’s corrupt government in 2012 UP State Assembly elections.
