Mayawati responsible for loot of NRHM funds: Congress (I)

Congress (I) has said there is every reason why Mayawati is personally responsible for loot of NRHM funds. First, she as Chief Minister is responsible for acts and omissions of her government and its ministers. Secondly, Mayawati was holding charge of Health department for two years. Only thereafter Babu Singh Kushwaha became Health Minister. He had to resign from the minister ship for involvement in loot of NRHM funds. Thirdly, Mayawati headed jail ministry when deputy CMO, family welfare department, Yogendra Sachan, was murdered within the Lucknow prison. A case ought to have been registered against the chief minister Mayawati, said Congress (I). It is pity that Mayawati government did not treat NRHM as National Rural Health Mission but treated it as National Rakam Hadpo Mission. NRHM scam shamed UP and lowered its prestige. Congress (I) questioned the BSP government's decision to appoint two CMOs in Lucknow. Everyone knows that it was a move to facilitate the plunder. The cold blooded murder of three senior heath functionaries showed that NRHM was all about open loot and sharing the spoils, Congress (I) said.
