Work as a unit, Rahul Gandhi tells Congress workers in Chhattisgarh

Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi stressed the importance of enforcing discipline among the top leaders of the Congress in Chhattisgarh.

Addressing the Youth Congress activists and members of the National Students Union of India, Rahul Gandhi categorically stated that youths would be given prominence in the next assembly elections in the state.

Rahul Gandhi added that the Congress would not allow Chhattisgarh to go the way of Uttar Pradesh where the Congress faced a severe setback mainly due to factionalism and a weak party structure.

Former chief minister Ajit Jogi ruled out any power struggle in the Chhattisgarh Congress. "There is no fight for leadership in the party. In the Congress, Soniaji is supreme,” he said.

Rahul Gandhi was in the state to rejuvenate Congress’s grass root workers in the state.
