Rahul Gandhi: Vote for fast track development in Uttar Pradesh

Lashing out against Samajwadi Party of Mulayam Singh Yadav and BSP of Mayawati for doing nothing for development of the state, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has called upon the people to vote for Congress (I) for fast track development of the Uttar Pradesh. Addressing a rally in Etawah recently he pointed out that in the past 22 years, Mulayam Singh Yadav has been Chief Minister three times and Mayawati four times. “What have you got in these years” he asked. Since they neither addressed the public issues nor brought development, Rahul Gandhi asked the voters to give go-by to ‘Cycle’ and ‘Elephant’, election symbols of SP and BSP respectively. He said these parties entrapped the people in their caste politics at the cost of progress and development of the state. They have repeatedly failed to deliver on their promises. Rahul Gandhi further said that the people should get rid of them. Highlighting that Congress (I) does not believe in caste or religion and works for all, Rahul Gandhi made a strong appeal to the people to vote for Congress (I) this time to ensure good governance and fast track development in the state of Uttar Pradesh. “We will do all that for the development of UP which these parties failed to do in the last 22 years,” he added.
