Slamming Chief Minister Mayawati for occasionally talking about dalits, poor, OBCs and minority community without doing anything for them, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said people of Uttar Pradesh are fed-up with governments which divide the state in the name of caste or religion. “What we need is a Government of the common man. The state cannot progress till we have a Government of ‘aam aadmi.’ This was the central theme which Rahul Gandhi sought to convey to the people during his second five day campaign of public meetings from December 13 to 17 in central UP. He lashed out at the Mayawati Government saying that the Government is neck-deep in corruption. “The ministers are in jail, corruption is everywhere. Even if you want to file a FIR in a police station, you will have to bribe the police, said Congress (I) leader. Rahul Gandhi is spearheading the Congress campaign in U.P for the upcoming assembly polls.
