Accusing non-Congress (I) governments of Uttar Pradesh for no development in the state, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said parties like BSP and SP have neither vision nor plans for taking Uttar Pradesh forward. It is only Congress (I) whose visionary leaders are taking the country forward on the path of growth and development. It was Congress (I) which scrapped licence-raj and ushered an era of liberalization. Revolution in communication, broadcasting and availability of mobile sets in the hands of every Indian are result of farsighted policies of Congress (I). He said, the people of UP are fed-up with parties which divide the state in the name of caste or religion. “What we need is a government of the common man’, said Rahul Gandhi adding that if Congress (I) is voted to power it will transform the state within ten years and people will start seeing the change within period of five years.
