Lashing out against UP Chief Minister for having done nothing for development of the state, Congress (I)-led UPA government at centre of its own has sanctioned a bouquet of central projects for development of the Uttar Pradesh. Recently Rs 6,000 crores package for handloom weavers was announced by Centre as a large majority of the weavers are in Uttar Pradesh. Union Commerce Minister Anand Sharma announced the package for the weaver community at Varanasi. Civil Aviation Ministry has announced setting up of Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University at Fursatganj in Rae Bareli. For tackling Japanese Encephalitis Congress (I)-led UPA government has appointed a group of ministers. A Central Agricultural University has been announced at Jhansi in the name of Rani Jhansi. A bill creating it is before Parliament. Congress (I) being determined to make UP No. 1 state in the country said these measures will go a long way to provide much needed relief to the people of the UP.
