During his campaigning in UP for Assembly elections, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi said he is ready to fight on behalf of the people of Uttar Pradesh whenever it is necessary. “I am your solider. I will fight for you whenever it is necessary because without UP being developed, the country can not go forward. I will take the state forward,” said Rahul Gandhi. UP is most populated and territorially extensive state.
Addressing a large public meeting belonging to most backward classes in Kanpur district Congress (I) leader asked the public as to what they had got from governments of Mulayam Singh Yadav and Mayawati over the past 22 years. Both these parties played caste politics and favored persons of their communities only. Rahul Gandhi assured the people that Congress (I), if voted to power, would be a government for all. It will be an inclusive government and it will not be a government of any particular religion or caste.
