Mayawati govt. riddled with corruption cases: Congress (I)

Congress (I) has said Mayawati government has not taken serious measures to check, if not root out, corruption under her government. Often when a serious and sensational corruption or criminal case breaks out Mayawati plays a usual trick. To divert attention from herself Maya conveniently pushes forward concerned minister as morally responsible for that by dropping him from the cabinet. Congress (I) said this way nothing has been done to tackle the real issue - corruption - which remains alive and soon reoccurs with doubled force. This way scams are piling up in Mayawati government. One estimate is that there are scams worth Rs 54,000 crore in allotment of land in Noida. It is alleged that mills with market value of Rs 800 crore have been sold for Rs 14.11 crore. There are scams even in MGNREGA, pensions, scholarships, power sector and even monuments. “Mayawati government has earned the utmost notoriety which will stick with BSP for ever”, said Congress (I).
