The Congress party has unequivocally declared that terrorism whether based on fundamental ideology or supported from across the border by forces inimical to our national success has been a matter of serious concern for the people of our country and the government. Each such incident of terrorism is a serious menace to our security, harmony and progress. There have never been two opinions about it. The Congress party and the government stand united on this issue. Our resolve is firm and steadfast to stamp it out. During investigation of such activities nothing can be ruled out. When an investigation into such terrorist incident is in progress no one should speculate. Doing so would be tantamount to rubbing salt into the wounds of those who will have to carry the cross of that terror act for the remaining part of their lives. Congress government is committed to build up capacities to see that no terrorist activity is able to get through. So, therefore there is a need to focus the national discourse as to how best we can build up capacities avoiding unnecessary speculation when an investigation is on.
