Rahul Gandhi in Amethi, interacts with people

Rahul Gandhi in Amethi slams Modi govt at the Centre

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi accused the Narendra Modi led BJP government at the Centre of forgetting its promises to voters, saying "Prime Minister Narendra Modi is playing the drums in Japan but ignoring crises of water, power and prices" at home. "This government has forgotten its promises on corruption, on power, on water, on prices. 100 days are over, where is the result? Vegetables are more expensive and there are serious power and water crises," said Rahul Gandhi.

Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi visit fire-hit Jamo area in Amethi

Congresss Vice President Rahul Gandhi accompanied with sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra visited Barolia village in Jamo area of Amethi, where fire incident had taken place 65 houses were gutted on May 19 and met victims and assured them of all help. They were in Amethi after the results of the Lok Sabha polls to thank voters for supporting Rahul Gandhi for the third consecutive terms. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra asked the district officials to get houses allotted to the villagers under the Indira Awas Yojana. "We will apply on their behalf for allotment of houses under the Indira Awas Yojana," she said. Both the leaders handed over a bag of relief material to the affected people.

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi began his two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency Amethi on Wednesday. "A good ambience is out here in Amethi. I have an old relationship with the people of Amethi.. Amethi is like my home and it is my family", said Rahul Gandhi. He added that the Congress party has done good work for the benefit of thousands of women and also in the development of national highways. Rahul Gandhi, however, admitted that one thing which has been lacking in Amethi is electricity and roads barring national highways. "We have faced difficulties on these issues as these fall under the jurisdiction of the state government," said Rahul Gandhi.

Rahul Gandhi visits Amethi, says Congress does not talk, but act

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi began his two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency Amethi on Wednesday. The Congress Vice-President said the Congress does not talk but act. Rahul Gandhi reached along with his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra at Fursatganj in the evening and met people near the airport. He later invited an old woman to join him as he left the airport with his sister seated in the car behind. The woman, who hailed from Rampur, said Rahul Gandhi had stayed in her house to which the Congress leader, who nodded, said his relationship with her is old.

यूपी के जगदीशपुर में शक्तिमान मेगा फूड पार्क के शिलान्यास के मौके पर राहुल गांधी ने जनता को किया संबोधित

बिरला जी ने अभी कहा कि उनके परिवार और हमारे परिवार के बीच पुराना रिश्ता है। तो मैं उनसे यह कहना चाहता हूं कि ये लोग जो यहां बैठे है यह भी हमारे परिवार के लोग है। आपका रिश्ता हमारे परिवार से है, इसका मतलब आपका रिश्ता इनके परिवार से भी है। तो मैं आपका स्वागत करना चाहता हूं। जो हमने इनसे बातचीत की उसके बारे में मैं आपको बताना चाहता हूं। अच्छा भइया आलू का दाम क्या है बाजार में? दश रूपया किलो। अच्छा चिप्स का 6 या 10? छह रूपया। जो आलू का चिप्स होता है वह आप लोग कितने में खरीदते हो? तकरीबन चार सौ रूपये किलो। चार सौ रूपये किलो चिप्स और 6 या 10 रूपये किलो आलू।
कुछ दिन पहले मैं किसान से बात कर रहा था। उनसे मैने पूछा कि भाई बताओं आपकी जो हके हैं आपको कितना पैसा मिलता है और बाकी लोगों को कितना पैसा मिलता है? जब उसने मुझे बताया तो मैं हैरान हो गया। सच्चाई यह है कि अगर पूरे देश में सबको देखा जाए तो सबसे ज्यादा जो काम करता है, सबसे ज्यादे जिसका पसीना लगता है। उसको सबसे कम पैसा मिलता है। लेकिन यहां जो किसान है उनको सबसे ज्यादे फायदा मिलेगा। मैं चाहता हूं भाई अगर चार सौ रूपये चिप्स में लगते हैं। जो आज आपको दो तीन रूपये में मिलते है, आपको चार सौ में से ज्यादा से ज्यादा मिले और इसलिए हमने यहां फूड पार्क लगाया।
यह फूड पार्क सिर्फ एक सब्जी के लिए नहीं है। मैने बिरला जी से दो-तीन चीजे कही। हिन्दुस्तान में सब्से ज्यादा आम कौन सा राज्य पैदा करता है? उत्तर प्रदेश। और पूरा का पूरा दिल्ली से एक्सपोर्ट होता है। जो यूपी का किसान है। जिसका आम आज लंदन जा रहा है, अमेरिका जा रहा है। उसको जीतना फायदा होना चाहिए नहीं हो रहा है। सोच यह है कि वह चाहे आम हो, मेंथा हो या आंवला हो, जो भी उत्तर प्रदेश में पैदा हो, हमारा सोच यह है कि उसकी प्रसंस्करण अमेठी में कि जाये, यहां कि जाये। यहां कृषि हब बनना चाहिए, तब आएगा मजा।

अब इसको करने के लिए हमने क्या किया? राजीव जी ने काम शुरू किया नेशनल हाइवे का और आप लोग जानते हो पिछले चार-पांच सालों में नेशनल हाइवे का काम किया और हाइवे हमने यहां से निकाला है। यहीं पर आपका एयरपोर्ट है। आम व अन्य के अलग-अलग 40 कारखाने लगे हैं। बिरला जी ने कहा कि 40 हजार लोगों को फायदा मिलेगा, 25 हजार लोगों को इनडायरेक्ट रोजगार मिलेगा और 2500 लोगों को डायरेक्ट रोजगार मिलेगा। मगर यह एक शुरूआत है। क्योंकि जब प्रसंस्करण यहां शुरू हो जाएगी, जब पूरा यूपी का आम यहां से चलना शूरू हो जाएगा। आज जो समान यहां उगाई जाती है उसका सीधा निर्यात होता है, फिर प्रसंस्करण दूसरे देशों में होती है और फिर हम उसको वापस खरिदते हैं। मैं चाहता हूं कि प्रसंस्करण यहां अमेठी में हो। 40-50 कारखाने यहां लगेंगे और किसान को लगेगा कि जो आज पसीना देते है, जो हम काम कर रहे हैं उसका फायदा हमे मिल रहा है।

जब आपने मुझे कहा कि चार सौ रूपया चिप्स का दाम है, तो जो यहां किसान बैठे है वह पूछ रहे होंगे कि भइया इसमे चार सौ रूपया का है क्या? आलू तो होता है उसमें। तो उनको आने वाले समय में यह लगना चाहिए कि प्रसंस्करण हो रही है, हमारे यहां हो रही है। अगर हम कुछ बेच रहे हैं तो हम सीधे फूड प्रसंस्करण पार्क को बेचते है। बिरला जी ने मुझे बताया कि फूड प्रसंस्करण की बात तो छोड़िए इनकी सोच है कि किसान बेचे तो सीधे अपने घर से बेचे। उसको यह भी कष्ट न हो कि उसे उठाना पड़े। तो यह सोच है और इससे आपको बहुत ज्यादा फायदा होने वाला है।

दो-तीन चीजे मैं और कहना चाहता हूं। हिन्दुस्तान पेपर मिल की लड़ाई के बारे में आप जानते है। लंबी लड़ाई थी 10 हजार लोगों की लंबी लड़ाई थी और मैं आप लोगों को खुशी से कहना चाहता हूं कि यह लड़ाई भी हम जीत गये। अब कुछ ही दिन में हिंदुस्तान पेपर मील का भी हम उद्घाटन करने वाले है। उससे सिधे 10 हजार लोगों को फायदा मिलेगा। हम लगे रहते है मगर बिरला जी हमारी शक्ति यहां से आती है। जो भी हम है, जो भी हम काम कर सकते है। वह इन लोगों के मदद से हम कर सकते है। यह हमारा परिवार है। और आज एक एतिहासिक दिन है क्योंकि आपको भी हमने इस परिवार में शामिल किया है। आप और हम मिलकर अब अमेठी की किसान की लड़ाई लड़ेंगे और उस लड़ाई को भी हम जीतेंगे और किसान को व आम जनता को फायदा पहुंचाएंगे। आप सबका बहुत-बहुत धन्यवाद, नमस्कार

Congress vice-president, Rahul Gandhi on Monday laid the foundation stone of Shaktiman food processing plant - the first mega food park in Uttar Pradesh in Jagdishpur of Amethi district. The mega food plant would directly benefit more than 40,000 local farmers. It is estimated that the park would earn revenue of Rs 450 crore every year. It would be a lucrative job opportunity for all the local residents of Jagdishpur and nearby areas. Shaktiman Mega Food Park will offer essential services like dry warehousing, cold storage, a farmer friendly bank and fully equipped education and business centres. Furthermore, the ancillarisation process will lead to the creation of an additional 25,000 employment opportunities. Farmers, food processors and the local economy will benefit most from this initiative. Dr Charan Das Mahant, Union minister of state for agriculture and food processing and Kumar Mangalam Birla also attended the foundation ceremony.

Amethi: Congress Vice President, Rahul Gandhi on Monday laid the foundation stone of Shaktiman food processing plant - the first mega food park at Jagdishpur of Amethi district in Uttar Pradesh.

While speaking on the occasion, Rahul Gandhi, who is also the Member of Parliament from Amethi, struck an emotional chord with farmers and lauded their hard work for the country and also expressed his concern that the farmers are not getting adequate benefits. “The farmers are the most hard- working people, but they get the least benefits” said the Congress Vice President.

“Once this project is completed, different food processing units will be established here. This will benefit about 40000 people; will generate indirect employment for about 25000 and 2500 people will get direct placement” he informed. “We want to make Amethi the agricultural hub and our efforts are in that direction” added Rahul Gandhi.

“We get our strength from these people in front of me. Without their help, we cannot achieve anything.  These people are my family.. Now, we will together fight for the rights of the farmers in Amethi and I am confident that we will win this battle too and the farmers and aam aadmi here will reap more benefits” said the Congress MP amid cheers from the huge gathering.

Dr Charan Das Mahant, Union minister of state for agriculture and food processing and Kumar Mangalam Birla also attended the foundation ceremony.
The mega food park would be developed by Aditya Birla Group through Indo-Gulf fertilizer, one of its business arms. The plant would be constructed on about 72 acres of land. This land is planned to be developed on housing, educational and commercial standards.

It is estimated that the park would earn revenue of Rs 450 crore every year. It would be a lucrative job opportunity for all the local residents of Jagdishpur and nearby areas. Shaktiman Mega Food Park will offer essential services like dry warehousing, cold storage, a farmer friendly bank and fully equipped education and business centres. Farmers, food processors and the local economy will benefit most from this initiative.

This food park, spread over 72 acres, will have world class infrastructure for food processing, coupled with backward and forward linkages for the entire food processing value chain. It will implement best practices in post-harvest management.
