Rahul Gandhi : Where was Uma Bharti when he was raising the Bundelkhand farmers issue

The Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi who is on a five-day visit to the Bundelkhand region questioned the sudden emergence of BJP leader Uma Bharti into the Uttar Pradesh electoral politics. Rahul Gandhi asked where she was when he was raising the Bundelkhand farmers issue. The Congress General Secretary was addressing rallies across the region as part of his Congress campaign in the poll bound Uttar Pradesh.

“BJP has imported a leader from Madhya Pradesh. She was Chief Minister there, but had to flee from there. Uttar Pradesh never saw that leader whenever the people needed help” said Rahul Gandhi.

Rahul Gandhi said, "when farmers in Bundelkhand were on the verge of starvation, it was I who raised their issue and took them to the Prime Minister. When I was touring among the people of Bundelkhand, where was she?"

Rahul Gandhi also said that now BJP has taken this stand as the elections are only 15 days away. Rahul Gandhi expressed hopes that the people of UP has changed their mind and have decided to elect a Congress Government in the state for bringing back the development and lost glory.
