Congress (I) General Secretary has blamed Mayawati government for corruption and non-development in Uttar Pradesh. While Mayawati government’s greed for money encouraged corruption, it has been Mayawati’s ministers, legislators and BSP leaders of criminal background who have produced spurt of crimes like murders, extortions, abductions and rapes in the state. Mayawati’s greed for maya blinded her towards the problems of the people. She does not meet poor people and does care to see the problems of poor people, said Rahul Gandhi. There is no body to listen to the issues of the people. Administration is non responsive and police is busty in committing extortions. This has produced complete disconnect between Mayawati government and the masses. To fill this void Rahul Gandhi has reached out to the people who have been victim of Mayawati government’s injustice. He is leading people’s fight for justice and thereby connecting the masses with Congress (I).
