We will form govt on our own strength: Rahul Gandhi

Hitting hard against the parties like BSP, SP and BJP for ruling Uttar Pradesh by forming coalition governments in the past, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said these parties ignored the development of the state for the sake of their personal interests. “We are here to change the way the state is being run and bring progress and development,” said Rahul Gandhi while addressing a rally in Chandauli on February 9 for the ongoing Assembly elections 2012. Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh said that the Congress (I) Party would form the government on its own. "We are not contesting elections to form a coalition government. We want to form the government on our own,” he added. The coalition governments in Uttar Pradesh have failed and such kind of government has not benefited the state in the past, he further said. Highlighting that Congress (I) has visionary plans for development of the state, Rahul Gandhi exhorted the people to strength the hands of Congress (I) by voting in its favour. He assured that Congress (I) will change the face of the state and they will be able to feel the change in next five years.
